What is a management decision? →Monthly required reserve deposits were not adequate. Monthly deposits were $1,482. The required monthly deposit was $1,505. The shortage for the fiscal year totaled $284. Criteria: The Project is required to follow the reserve deposits defined in Form HUD 9250. Effect: Violation of HUD regulations. The deficiency will have to be deposited. Cause: Management overlooked the requirement to increase the monthly reserve deposit. Recommendation: Deposit the $284 deficient reserve deposits into the reserve account and review the Form HUD 9250 at least annually to determine the correct monthly reserve deposit required. Views of Responsible Officials and Planned Corrective Actions: The Project will deposit the deficient reserve deposits and annually review the Form HUD 9250 for the required monthly reserve deposits.

Recommendation: Deposit the $284 deficient reserve deposits into the reserve account and review the Form HUD 9250 at least annually to determine the correct monthly reserve deposit required. Action Taken: The project will deposit the $284 of deficient reserve deposits into the replacement reserve and increase the monthly deposits to comply with Form HUD 9250. Effective February 2019, monthly deposits should be $1,552.
