Subrecipient Monitoring
OTHER MATTERS

For both subawards selected for testing, the identification of the contact information for the awarding agency was incorrect. The contact information was Education Analytics, Inc., the Organization’s grantor, but should have been Future Forward, Inc. Further, one of the two subawards selected for testing had information missing from the subaward including all requirements for the award to be used in accordance with Federal statutes, regulations and terms and conditions of the Federal award. We consider this condition to be an instance of noncompliance relating to the Subrecipient Monitoring compliance requirement. Statistical sampling was not used in making sample selections. Questioned Costs: N/A Cause and Effect: Without communication of the required information, subrecipients may overspend award amounts or incur unallowable expenses towards the grant as well as report the incorrect grantor on their schedule of expenditures of federal awards. Recommendation: We recommend the Organization evaluates policies and procedures to ensure all required information is communicated with the subrecipient. Views of Responsible Officials: Management agrees with this Single Audit Finding and response is included in the Corrective Action Plan.
