2019-001 Improve Controls over Training Recommendation: The Organization should develop a schedule for periodic internal review of compliance with training requirements. Action Taken: We required all teachers who were deficient to complete the required training by 9/15. All training was completed by 9/6/2019 and was verified through the DES website. When we hire a new teacher we verify what training needs to be done. We require them to complete the necessary training within 90 days of being hired. On a monthly basis the Early Education Manager (EEM) will verify through the DES website that the training is being completed. Each month the EEM will send a spreadsheet to the Vice President of Administration that indicates the status of the teacher?s training.
