The HUD Project did not make the required deposit for the year ended December 31, 2019 into the residual receipts account timely. Criteria ? 24 CFR section 891.400(e) requires the HUD Project to deposit surplus cash into the residual receipts account within 60 days following year end. Cause ? The necessary information used to calculate the surplus cash was not available timely. Effect ? The HUD Project is not in compliance with the requirement. Recommendation ? We recommend management review its procedures to ensure all required deposits are made timely. Management?s Response ? The deposit was made on March 6, 2020 and management will ensure the required deposit is made timely in future years.
