Reporting

Base salaries of full time employees were included in the reimbursement request when only overtime hours were permitted. Criteria: For full time employees the grant only provides funds for overtime incurred as a result of the increase in mail in ballots. Cause: The spreadsheet used for reimbursement had incorrect formulas which included the base salary amount reported in the reimbursable column. Effect: The County received reimbursement for ineligible base salaries. Context: Of the total $20,512.05 in salaries claimed for full time reimbursement, $17,636.48 has been determined to be base salaries. Recommendation: That the County ensure that future reimbursements are only for overtime as required. View of Responsible Officials: The County agrees with the finding and is addressing the error with the State of New Jersey.

2020-001 Help America Vote Act CFDA #90-401 Condition: Base salaries of full time employees were included in the reimbursement request when only overtime hours were permitted. Corrective Action Plan

The spreadsheet provided by the state had incorrect formulas which included base salary amount reported in the reimbursable column. The County will ensure that future reimbursements are only inclusive of overtime costs. The County is currently addressing the error with the State of New Jersey.
