Statement of condition: During our audit procedures, we noted the fiscal 2020 fidelity bond/crime insurance coverage was $3,000,000, which is below contract requirements. In addition, the fidelity bond/crime insurance deductible was $25,000, which is above contract requirements. Questioned costs: None Effect of condition: The Company is not in compliance with the indicated MPS contract requirement. Cause of condition: Management has represented that actual insurance providers are not able to provide a policy that matches the contract requirements. Recommendation: Fidelity bond/crime insurance coverage should be increased to the total value of contract, and the deductible should be decreased to follow contract requirements. If such a policy cannot be obtained, the Company should negotiate a revision of the MPS contract. Management?s response: Management agrees with this finding and will implement procedures in order to ensure compliance.
